Our Company
Chmielnicki Mlyn Group is a strong vertically integrated food processing holding, involved in flour production and crop farming operations.
The Company uses a lean production system to maximize its profits and has developed a strategy for further growth via strengthening of its leading position of regional flour producer and expansion of crop farming segment.
The Company is located in the zone of highly fertile soils in Chmielnicki region of Western Ukraine.

A result of the negotiations involving investment for enterprise development.

Management of Chmielnicki Mlyn PLC have passed the decision to attract investment; Starting construction of new elevator complex, designed for 25,000 tons total storage capacity. The construction of first silos was completed on 15th September; In June modernization of seed complex for preparing qualitative seed materials was completed by installment of Italian drying equipment Strall and Polish reservoirs Ferum for 1000 tons; Start of cooperation program with international grain traders on financing of future crops production; The number of personnel - 180 workers, machinery fleet – 40 trucks, 6 harvesters, 4 tractors and around 60 units of equipment. |

Business segments
Our business model is based on vertical integration of its value chain encompassing inputs into the production process, crop farming and flour mill segments and sales activity. The Company's crop farming segment provides wheat for own flour mill operations. Other crops such as barley, soya and buckwheat we sell to international traders and our domestic customers. Own elevator and storage capacities give us the opportunity to sell our harvest within the period of maximal prices.
Flour production segment
Within the flour production business segment the Group operates two flour mills located in Rozsosha village, Chmielnicki region, where it produces wheat and rye flour, from raw crops both purchased from suppliers as well as harvested internally by the Company. Chmielnicki Mlyn is the largest modern flour mill complex in the region with production capacity 100 tons per day of wheat flour and 60 tons per day of rye flour. Our wheat and rye flour are sold to local and national bakeries, retail chains and also directly to individual clients.
Crop farming segment
The crop farming business segment of the Group consists mainly of the lease of land, crop production and harvesting. Our crop mix consists of wheat, barley, rye, buckwheat and soy. From the very beginning of its activity we are focused on the operational aspect of the business, in particular profitability increase. Our crops are sold to international grain traders and domestic B2B customers.
Our advantages
Focus on flour production – Chmielnicki Mlyn's output reaches up to 40% of the total volume produced in the region.
Concentrated location – the compact location of land bank in the radius of 40 km far from mill and elevator complex allows us to manage our business effectively, control all operations, minimize freight costs and lag time.
Optimal product mix – we have developed a product mix and crop rotation process that maximises productivity and profitability. Cereals are selected taking into account crop seasonality, crop yields, market demand and anticipated price growth.
High yields – we have a track record of consistent yield improvements and we have reached good results – our yields of definite crops are up to 50% higher comparing to Ukrainian average.
Own elevator complex – our certified grain storage capacities of 36 000 tons allow us to store own harvest from the fields, grain inventories for flour production and own seeds for sowing campaigns. Own storage capacities help us to avoid seasonal price fluctuations and receive additional revenues from providing storage services to our customers.
Experienced management – we have extensive experience over 15 years in Ukrainian agricultural sector. Major part of top-management is working by our Company since its establishment.
Good reputation and social responsibility – Being for more than 10 years on the market, we have an impeccable reputation and brand within the region among suppliers, landowners, banks, customers and its employees. We pay also big attention to social responsibility in the region. We finance the programs related to active support of social objects in our region.
